How do I activate XP's Encrypting File Sys?

Dumb question, but is the Encrypting File System the little checkbox in the Properties of a file that says "Encrypt Contents To Secure Data"? Just wondering.

Click on Start, Click on "Help and Support". Type in "Encrypt" and search.

Yes, just check the box. But be warned, if your OS dies you will have a hard time recovering the encrypted files.

Be sure to backup your recovery certificate someplace! Like Siliconjunkie mentioned, if you can't boot up into this installation of windows you will not be able to unencrypt the files without paying $. Just reinstalling the OS again will not allow you access to the encrypted files. Nor will putting that hard disk into another machine. Backup your recovery certificate!
