Which models?

If it is drives with 8mb cache, go with WD. They are faster. Not sure about other drives.....

I've had alot of good experience with Maxtor drives. Very stable and reliable.

Maxtor, thier support team is very fast with RMA's, but the main reason is math..

Maxtor 1Gb = 1000 Mb (1000x1024x1024x1024)
WD 1Gb = 1024 million bytes.

so a 120Gb of each would be

WD = 122,880,000,000 Bytes
MX = 125,829,120,000 Bytes

not much, but 3Gig more space just on math... also I've found the maxtors are a bit faster..
