Welcome to the forum!

You said all you changed was the cpu?

I think the old one used 266fsb and the new one uses 333fsb....but since your ram says 400fsb..seems like it should be working no problem.

It wont boot at all? Have you tried clearing the bios?

Yeah I cleared it a few hundred times....
Actually what happened was I had an Abit take A hit from some dumbsh*t Furnace guy playing with the breakers. That board is gone but had a 2400 on it.
I took my 2800 out and test the cpu and it was good. I put my 2800 back in and clear the cmos and nothing...just wouldn't kick the moniter on.So I play around for a few minutes take out 1 stick and it booted.I put the other stick back in...So then I put both sticks in as single channel and it booted with no prob.Tried it back at dual and nothing...getting long sorry But it just won't go into dual channel again.I used to have it there before all my problems came along with the other board.

Thanks for the help I am stumped

Work

A batter back up w/surge protect would be a good investment.

Yannow, you'll actually get BETTER benchmark scores by running the memory and CPU bus speeds synchronous (166/166MHz) than by running them at 166/200MHz (FSB/Memory).

It all has to do with latencies between the busses when running the memory clock faster than the FSB.
