Organizing IE Favorites..

Prior to a few days ago, all of my IE favorites were sorted chronologically... Meaning, they were listed in the order that they were added. Somehow they all got reordered, and now they're alphabetical.. Which makes everything a pain in the butt to find.

Is there any possible way I can have them resorted to the way they were before?

Thanks..

- Brandon

My Favorites got so unruly, i create folders for them. Favorites/organize favorites/create new folder.

My Folders:
Personal (banking, online accts, etc)
DIY
Free Proggies
Online shopping
Windows tweaks

After that, highlight the link, and select move to folder.

I think the folders can then be sorted alpha or chrono

EDIT: Go to my documents/favorites open the folder

Click View, arrang Icons by:

Select: size, date, alpha, etc

give it a try:
c:\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites

Unfortunately, IE does not retain the Windows folder settings. Going into the folder and changing the Sort Order doesn't change anything within IE.

I just tried something with the registry. Let me see how that pans out, and I'll post back here.

Thanks.

I tried deleting the "Order" Key within HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites

.. no such luck, though.
