StarOffice & OpenOffice .. What's the Difference?

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between OpenOffice & StarOffice?

the first one is free, the other is not. Sun has a hand in both of them. StarOffice used to be free, but then Sun decided to charge for it, but they released a lot of the code into the open-source community to start the OpenOffice.org project

Besides that staroffice is no longer free and isn't open source?
They both stack up pretty well for office suites and are both cross platform, however i'm not sure of the advantages of one over the other since they both are compatible with most office formats.

However if you are planning on using one or the other, try open office first as it's free to download and use.
