what do u guys think about this trade?

ok a user on another forum (canadian) has offered to trade me the following items for my p4 1.7 ghz, Asus P4T-E mobo , 256 mb RDram, and $120 cash CDN:

AMD barton 2800+
Asus A7N8X delux
volcano 9 heatsink
128 mb 2700 ddr ram

what do u guys think about this trade? should i go through with it? is it a good deal or am i just getting ripped off?

Bad deal. His hardware is nothing compared to yours and the RDRAM is so expensive to upgrade.

Let's see. You will be getting a faster CPU, a top of the line mobo, a great HSF, and a little less memory plus about $91 USD cash. Sounds real good to me.

whoops! I read it backwards, lol. I thought you had the barton. Yeah, it's an awesome deal for you, horrible for him.

If it were me, it would already be a done deal.
BTW-the fact that his parts are 2 months old may work to your advantage if you're planning on overclocking...have heard that AMD is locking the multiplier on chips made after week 41- the 2800+ wouldn't have the locked multiplier as it would have been made before week 41...
