Tenet RedHat

My friend has linux mandrake and windows xp installed on his pc and from the windows xp cmd prompt he can write: "telnet mandrake" and login into his mandrake account and edit his files and everything...
I have windows xp and linux Redhat installed on my pc, what should i write in the cmd prompt in order to access my account in linux redhat? (I tried "telnet redhat" but didn't work). Thanks.

Ok, first with your friend.

Are Mandrake and XP on the same box? Different boxes? Is he running it via VMWare?

If they are on the same box, then he will not be able to do telnet mandrake and have it work IF he is running it on the same box via VMWare then this *could* work. IF they are on different boxes, then he somehow (possibly accidentally) set it up so that mandrake resolves to the ip of his Mandrake box.

Are your machines seperate? Or at the Redhat and Windows install on the same box?
