Does Anyone Know WHY NewEgg.com Won't Ship To Canada?
Does anyone have any idea behind the reasoning why NewEgg refuses to ship it's products to Canada? I don't see any advantage to them as a retailer, whatsoever.
I've emailed them (with the most politely worded email I can crank out) about it several times, but get no reply.

Exchange rates and Export taxes/problems. Thats it in a nutshell. I.E. it would raise their costs to either you or all customers in general as a result of it. And it makes it much MORE complicated. Just find a Canada only vendor. Cant be mad cause a co. doesnt deal internationally. LOL.

I order from American companies all the time... They don't pay my exchange rates, nor would I expect them to. I know American vendors who sell to Canada.. They don't incur any "special" fees for having to ship to Canada, and the ones I've talked to about it have absolutely no idea why NewEgg wouldn't ship.

I would just guess that they looked at with a business eye and saw that it costs them more than it's worth. Or somthing like that. They are based in California, and there are so many special laws here, that maybe some "special" tax was required that was too high.
Who knows?
Wal-Mart doesn't sell cars.

Seriously though, there's a lot of business to be had. The sad part of it, is that most of it would probably be in places that are within a 50 - 60 mile proximity to the U.S. border. |

| yea, but i think costco and sams club do.... buy cars in bulk anyone?
i would have to agree that some tax probably makes it too expensive, or that it would make it too difficult for one reason or another on their end...
who knows...

Seriously. Just like Wal-Mart isn't "losing" business because they don't sell cars, NewEgg isn't losing business not selling to people in Canada. They get all the business they can handle already.
