Need RAM identified....

Hi,

I have an old Micron Milennia Pentium II 400 Mhz computer, and I am looking to find ram for this machine.
I scanned one of the (2) chips that were installed. (see pic)

The computer says it has a total of 64 mb of tram installed soi I assume this single chip is 32mb.

This is what I assume this chip is after doing some research:
PC100 speed

Need RAM identified....

Hi,

I have an old Micron Milennia Pentium II 400 Mhz computer, and I am looking to find RAM for this machine.
I scanned one of the (2) chips that were installed. (see pic)

The computer says it has a total of 64 mb of tram installed so I assume this single chip is 32mb. The moboard only has (2) slots.

I would like to get at least (2) 64mb chips to replace these, maybe (2) 128MB if possible. I assume these have to be replaced in pairs?

Other questions:
Is this 168 pin?
Is it Non-ECC or ECC?
Is it SDRAM?
Is it DIMM type?
Partity?

Thanks so much in advance for any help, I always run into this problem whenever looking for older ram....

This is what I assume this chip is after doing some research:
32MB
PC100 speed

Model info:
MT4LSDT464AG-10CD2
PC100-322-620

Thanks!!!
-Chris

Wouldn't be just about as simple to find the specs for the motherboard? then you would know what type of ram it supports and the maximium amount of ram per slot as well.

Please only post a single problem one time. Sometimes it takes a couple hours to get a reply, but you will usually get one. And you can bump the thread after 24 hours if no one replies.

Any other questions, please see our FAQ and read our rules for posting. Thanks.

It is a PC100 DIMM. Its on the sticker. Forget how many pins (172?) but just look for PC100 and you will be fine.

You will have to check to see what your motherboard supports in terms of capacity. www.crucial.com is a good place to start.

here is a neat little link from micron to search by part number

here is another cool

link

from your photo it looks like what you have is cl 3
i can't find the 10cd4 on there page but i have a stick of pc100 micron memory that is also 10c and it is also pc100-322-620

so i would think 10c=cas latency 3 where as 10e = cas latency 2

hope this helps

I agree, you're chewing the stick from the wrong end.

What mainboard do you have there, what chipset is on it?
