XBOX or PS2

Should I get an XBOX or PS2?? They are both 129.99 at EB after a deal they have. I don't really care....well actually I am leaning towards the XBOX. I am planning on getting Lord Of The Rings : The Return of the King. The game is available for both platforms but I don't really know what one I should get. I am into shooting and racing games too so what platform has better games in those catagory

i say ps2

the gran turismo series is one of the best for racing, and there are many other racing games on ps2

shooters as well - plus if you develope a taste for rpg, you had better have a ps2

Yah I was thinking about a PS2 because I am really into the FF series.

But as for shooters don't forget Halo and soon Halo2. I got an xbox recently and have been happy with it but mainly because I love halo hehe. I actually have several xbox games that I have only played once or twice- not because I don't like them but because I am going through them one at a time and don't have much time to play anymore. Plus with games like Top Spin Tennis and Project Gotham 2 out- I think my xbox will satisfy for quite a while.

My friend has a PS2 and the game selection is great- but there are a lot of them in the same category (RPG or the 3rd person hack and slash). Despite that though, I think the game selection on the PS2 is the strongest.

It's a tough call- you'll probably be happy either way but since you have a slight penchant for RPGs maybe you should go ps2?
in addition to the FF series- Kingdom hearts is a great game as is Ico (or so I hear).

I.C.O is cool, its really weird though at first.. since it has like no BGM and since the play is annoying and well.. maybe if its on sale? kingdom hearts is pure evil, but some people like it

I have played FF3, FF&,FF8,nad FF9. So I like the RPG's. I think that I will go with the PS2 because I am already used to the control because right now I have a PS1 so it won't be that hard to get used to and also PS2 has a couple of flying games I want e.g. Ace Combat 4. Also when GT4 comes out I can get that too. TY for help

I'd say PS2, and let me say that is mostly because of Gran Trismo. I LOVE gran trismo
