Shrink 3.0 beta 5 question...........

I started to write a mile-long pm to Josh but figured I'd spare Josh the grief........LOL!!

I just so happen to be at work so I'm using a rig with ME on it & Shrink 2.3 doesn't seem to like to play. Sooooo.....I d/l 3.0 beta 5 & all works well. GUI is slightly different than 2.3 but I get the jist!

I don't completely understand the main folders in the top left (same in both progs) where the "DVD" folder looks like all you need, but then the subfolders "Menus", "Main Movie" and "extras" give even more. Does this mean that if I've highlighted the "DVD" folder and remove one of the audio files, then it's removed accordingly from each of the sub folders?? (Nevermind, just answered my own question.......YES)

That said, what the heck is the "subpicture" folder I see in the main "DVD" folder *and* in the subfolders also? They're all pretty small files, I just don't understand what the heck "subpicture" could be.

Last.........3.0 seems to differ from 2.3 in that, the progress bar at the top goes from green to red, bouncing backward with red as you "overfill" what might fit on an R disc. AND, another thing I believe is different from 2.3 is that 3.0 doesn't offer different "levels" of compression for you to choose from. (i.e. Once you start unchecking files ***and*** you're already at the 4,464mb point, it will automatically reduce compression rather than leave the compression level alone & create a smaller file to backup......in other words.......there's no "white" to be seen on the 3.0 progress meter 'cuz it maxes out video....<I'm assuming>)

TIA......(don't worry, I'll think of more questions as this thread rolls along.....har har!........OOoooh, just thought of one......Isn't 4,464mb too much for a good "target" backup??)
