OC p4 bios ????

im planning on OCing my p4 1.8 soon caue im gettin a new processor for and mobo for christmas. I have an old socket 423 p4 and wonder how much i would be able to OC it. everything is stock except i bought a 120mm case fan. also when i go into bios it wont let me choose anything about the processor. could it be locked cause its a store bought pc a vpr matrix from bestbuy. one last question in my bios in the video settings it has video arperture or something cant remember how to spell it, but it is set at 64mb and i can put it to 256mb, and what does this do and would i get any performance increase if i put it up to 256. i have a fx5900 128mb. sorry bout all the questions
thanks

Have you ever overclocked before? You need to increase the clock speed or FSB speed. I'm not sure what at p4 1.8 is though. And with stock everything, overclocking isn't a good idea.

If it's a store-bought computer, then you're out of luck. AFAIK they come with Intel motherboards, and those don't have overclocking options.
