Are you sure the Hdds are jumpered correctly? If you're trying to run raid 0 you should have one hdd per channel, configured Master Master. After you hit the F6 you should get athe option to type the letter S hit the s key then you should be told to put in the floppy. Hit enter, be sure you're selecting the correct raid drivers. I'm using a Promise Raid card on this machine two WD 40gb hdds. Win 2K

Yes I'v got them set to master and other drive to master (ide3 and ide4) And when I hit "F6" and then hit S and select the MBFasttrack100 driver for xp the same thing hapens no driver could be found on your machin??

Fasttrack100 tells me the drivers are working.

Does the machine boot to the Promise Raid Bios? You'll get the option to enter the utillity (CTL+F) Enter the utillity and enter your
selection 1,2,3 etc. 1 ought to select Raid 0. After your selection
be sure and type in CTL+Y to save your selection. Then you'll have to reboot and hit F6. It's beginning to sound like; 1 a step is being missed; 2your hdds total is too big or the raid card won't support XP. I've set up 5 raid machines using Promise cards. I haven't run into the trouble you're having.

Yes the Promise raid bios boot. And I'v done the steps you said (hit CTRL+F and select 1 auto etc and choose performans hit CTRL+Y and reebot) so It can be that the hdds total i sto big like you said. But I'v seen others use mutch bigger drivers my drivers are,

2 x "MAXTOR DMAX PLUS9-FDB 120GB 7200RPM 8MB" total
245884 (MB)
FastTrack bios version 2.00.0.2¨0
FastBuild (tm) Utility 1.32
Motherboard GA-7VRXP bios version F12

Something you can se is out of date or not compatibel here?...

Thx for your help, appreciate it

Solved the problem

The two hdds wasent on Master .. Maxtor discs most have jumpers in to be selected as master (Stupid me read in the manual that no jumpers should be in and it would go on cabel select)..

But now I seem to have ran in to another problem. When it finds the hdds it find 3 discs. 1 8(mb) 2 120gb 3 120gb .. is this right? I thought I only would se 1 disc the 234488Mb disc..

Big thanks for your help.
