Tweak seems to have sped up my cable connection
Got these results:
3.467 Mbps
3.315 Mbps
3.519 Mbps
http://www.ramsinks.com/xptweaks.aspx
Half-way down page "Speed Up ypur Internet."
For Cable or DSL. Runs a script and you have to re-boot.
No problem with it afterwards.

I usually go for the manual tweaks. I like to reset if all goes south on me. But since it offered the default settings as well, I tried it out.
I gained a little. I'm at a measily 339.7 KB/sec transfer rate after the tweak from 300KB/sec normal.
I'll take it.
Cheers! and thanks for the link.

This does the same thing you can do yourself with
Dr. TCP
, set your RWIN to 64240, considered the optimum value for most cable users. But if you use Dr. TCP, you will sometimes find that higher or lower values improve things.
