Tweak seems to have sped up my cable connection

Got these results:

3.467 Mbps
3.315 Mbps
3.519 Mbps

http://www.ramsinks.com/xptweaks.aspx

Half-way down page "Speed Up ypur Internet."

For Cable or DSL. Runs a script and you have to re-boot.

No problem with it afterwards.

I usually go for the manual tweaks. I like to reset if all goes south on me. But since it offered the default settings as well, I tried it out.

I gained a little. I'm at a measily 339.7 KB/sec transfer rate after the tweak from 300KB/sec normal.

I'll take it.

Cheers! and thanks for the link.

This does the same thing you can do yourself with Dr. TCP, set your RWIN to 64240, considered the optimum value for most cable users. But if you use Dr. TCP, you will sometimes find that higher or lower values improve things.
