New C P U

I wanted to fit a faster C P U to my chaintech board model 7A1A5,
an upgrade to 1.4 gig from 800mhz, but it won't boot up,nothing on screen, had to fit the old CP U to get it working again,
What do need to alter in bios ( i assume the C p u host clock or frequency/voltage control) so everythingruns ok

I would imagine both CPU's run at 100MHz FSB, so you shouldn't have to change that. Does that board support 1.4GHz?

Or maybe just a BIOS update to get it to recognize the new CPU? Also, what kind of CPU are trying to put in?
