I have toshiba tecra s1 laptop, running w2k sp4.
I've installed toshiba power saver, which I used to adjust the settings to my liking. For example, the laptop will never standby unless I close the lid.
Now, if I click windows power management in control panel, it - correctly - says, that I need to use the toshiba power saver to adjust the settings. Fine, that's what I've always done, and that's always worked.
Not anymore. For some odd reason, (I'm having urge to curse here

) windows power management replicates the default settings from toshiba power saver to itself, thus the laptop standbys after 5 minutes, and all other stupid stuff.
If I remove all the profiles from windows power management, all is fine, until I reboot, then they come back.
How do I disable windows power management which is making me mad.
