Did my friend get ripped off?

His bill says he got a TI4200 video card but in his system is a TI-200 card. How much difference is there?? Did he get ripped. I'm not familiar with Nvidia cards.

Thanks

Yes!!!! he did if he got a Ti-200. If he ordered a 4200 then he should get a 4200 there is quite a bit of difference between these.

A TI-4200 is budget GF4 and is much faster than a ti200 wich is a budget GF3

If it says Ti200, then it's a GF3Ti200, not even a GF4. I'd say he got really ripped-off!

There's not "quite a bit" of difference, there's a HUGE difference. A ti4200 can be up to, and over, 50% faster than a ti200.

Edit: Check here for a comparison http://www.tech-report.com/reviews/2...0/index.x?pg=7

it may have been a mistake?
have you inquired about this issue from the maker of the system?
I would think anyone that would like to have a good reputation concerning reselling/trading would resolve this.

Edit:that reciept should rectify this matter.

just call the vendor and tell them what they sent and have them send you the right card per your order and receipt. Once you receive the "RIGHT" card, then send back the "WRONG" one. Good to go...
