scandisk problem

I have tried to do scandisk more than 10 times and the message that says that scandisk has restarted 10 times keeps on appearing. I have tried to delete all *.TMP thingy and even close all of the other programs running and delete all temporary internet files. But the same message keeps on appearing. What should I do? Help please… this thing is really getting on my nerves. My scandisk is able to complete scanning for my 2nd drive but not my 1st drive.

Best to do in safe mode but can be done in regular mode.

Are we running 98?

If so, in Task Manager end everything except Explorer and Systray and disable any screensaver.

Should be able to finish after that.

Ok I'll try. Oh it's ME. Thanks a lot =) and I have another question. I tried to play this VCD, I am using power dvd. Anyway it is able to play the other vcds that I tried but not this one specific vcd. Anyone know why?

might just be a bad recording...but you may wish to make a new thread to ask that question as most people are going to look at this one and think its still about scandisk
