Kids Hows SP4??

I have been running win2k sp4 on my personal computer at work with no problems. I am getting ready to deploy it throughout my domain and i was just curious how SP4 is working for others? Some things i need to watch out for?

Thank you for any replies.

Watch out for DNS problems after the install. I just put SP4 on a couple of laptops at work and I couldn't get dialup to work unless I manually specified the DNS servers. There are many complaints about it online but if you did OK with it then you have better luck than I

Same w/ me. I've not had any problems w/ DUN & DNS either. But these are on desktops, not laptops.

I have problems with SP4 and IPSEC. When I apply SP4, the workstations can not connect to the servers anymore. My IPSEC policy requries IPSEC to be used for communication with the servers. If I disable the IPEC, then everything else seems to work with SP4. With the same IPSEC policy but staying at SP3 everything works so it doesn't seem to be the IPSEC policy itself.

There are some known problems related to Citrix that's why we don't upgrade our servers (SP4 on workstations is fine), and we are experiencing a bug when sending coding files from Unigraphix NX to a Win95 machine.

I haven't noticed a difference yet on four machines.

Thank you all for the replies.

We are not running Citrix at my property but i have read about those problems. I am going to go ahead and deploy to my desktops using GP and upgrade my servers manualy.

I am sure everything is going to go smooth with little problems. I just like to have as much info from the real world as i can get.

Thanks again.
