Windows 2000 Service pack 4 messed up my dialup connection

There is an IBM Thinkpad (R31 I think) running windows 2000 and was recently updated to sp 4. After this, I can't get the dialup connection to work. The modem communicates with the remote server but when the terminal window is supposed to come up I get and error "Cannot load dialog." I have tried recreating the connection and uninstalling and then reinstalling the modem. Neither have worked. I know service pack 4 can create a lot of problems and I was wondering if there is another solution I can try before uninstalling it (the service pack). Thanks!

You might try removing Dial Up Networking and re-installing it. BTW, what type of program are you running that would require a terminal window?
