Systems I've deleted registry keys in XP HELP!

After deleting registry keys to get rid of spyware programs, my computer will not boot, it gets to the wallpaper and will not restore desktop icons or the taskbar. Is there any way I can restore the registry somehow? I do not have an XP CD. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Jim

Have you tried f8 'Last known good configuration'?

I tried this on a 98 machine and it should work for this also.
press F8 on startup, then select the option where you have to answer yes or no to the startup options. only select yes to HIMEM.sys. select no to all the rest. This will get you to a dos prompt. Type in scanreg.exe---I have forgot the rest but what it does is scan your registry then you will have a choice to select a backup to replace your current one. This worked for me.
