[bites tongue on M.E. being crappy]

What do you mean by you can't see the "whole screen"? How much of it can you actually see? Does it matter what resolution you set it at?

Hey I like ME on an older computer, I'm running it on 2 of mine

can you move the screen using the arrows on the keyboard? or maybe with the mouse moving it to the side and continue moving it,and then the screen moves? I have seen that happen.Or maybe hit the Tab key.

Guessing rreally

I cant move the screen with arrows hitting tab or messing with the monitor itself, also i cant change the resolution because its some windows setup thing. its like part of the screen is chooped off. like when you view a high res webpage on a low resolution monitor, you have to scroll over to see the whole thing. its like that but i cant scroll over.

Does registration give you the option of register later?? If it does register after your install is complete.

Override1313:

Are you certain you have the correct drivers for your graphics/video card? I'd try changing and/or updating those drivers.

it could be that ME is inadvertently loading incorrect drivers. Have you successfully run that OS with that hardware configuration?

Another thought . . .:

IF that computer is an HP ... then perhaps this is the way it retains its "proprietary" status. Know what I mean? Did this particular computer come with "startup disks" with a Windoze program on those disks?
