Best headphones, that you can get locally?

What are the very best headphones that you can get locally from like best buy or circuit city? Nothing over $30.

The one thing I really want these headphones to have, is good bass.

Thanks,
-Biz

So, the best headphones for $30? That limits one pretty much.

$30...

Koss KSC-50 or Koss KSC-55 or Koss SportaPro. Choice between these is largely a matter of style. Price should run about $20 to $30.

Good luck.

What are you going to hook these phones to? Portable MP3 player or portable CD player? Or something else?

Check this link for good advice on headphones for different uses.

http://www.headphone.com/layout.php?topicID=2

The link you provided was for one of the Koss models I listed, all of which sound better than most headphones provided with portable audio players.

I just got the new Zalman surround headphones. They sound great, but you need to tweak the soundcard in control panel.
