Systems Using two operating systems

Ok, I have Win2k professional on an 8GB boot drive and have 2 SATA drives for storage. My question is can I also load win98 SE on this thing without screwing everything I have on there now up. Win 2k will not download some programs I have for 98 and it is killing me!! Thanks in advance for any help.

98 should have been installed first.

I understand that this can be done with a boot loader as long as the OS are on separate partitions.

If your drive is NTFS you cannot install 98 as it requires FAT.

I found this on another site which may be of help.

Dual-boot Win2K & Win98

Misc

I run two OS now and installing Win 98 shouldn't be a problem. Win 98 will need it's own partition and formatted to fat 16 or fat 32. You can do this in Admin tools in your Settings browser. When I created my partition, I sized it to the year I was born, so when I when Win 98 looked for a storage space, I selected the one with my birth year and spare myself the headache of formatting over any other partitions. Hope t5his helps!
