Sloppy movies

Hi
I have a very frustrating problem. Since I replaced my mother board all the high quality movies or the ones that require codecs are very sloppy. I have tried updating all the components but there is no improvement. I asked the provider of the mother board and told me it was almost the same as the one I had before. Do you have any ideas as to why this is happening? Plz help. I can't watch any movies!

I updated the drivers. I am using Unified Codecs Pack that has all the codecs.

By sloppy i mean that the movies don't run smoothly and stops every 2 seconds. I tried making the window smaller and the problem seems to be solved.
