Unless your FX5600 has Video In, you're going to need another piece of hardware.
I'm seriously considering one of these or the ATi TV Wonder Pro
Here's a less $ version of the KWorld card.
The software can be had for FREE, we'll look at that after you look at hardware options.

One problem I ran into with my ATI TV Wonder was it didn't like my NVidia card. Admittedly, I have an older video card, but it still ran like a wheezing donkey whenever I brought up the ATI Multimedia Center to watch TV or record anything. Just warning you since you might be doing the NVidia/ATI combo.

As far as I know the TV LEADTEK WINFAST "DELUXE" TV2000XP TV/FM MULTIMEDIA CARD - RETAIL BOX is the best on the market especially for the price which is $48 shipped from NewEgg.

Always remember that the QUALITY of video in can vary greatly. ATI's is first-rate--I'd recommend it.

Solotrucker,

TOAD6147 pegged it, that is what I use to grab video from my vcr to my hd, wether it be just clips or longer lengths.

Better have lots of hd space though.

The leadtek have lots of compression settings, and all the things you would look for in video capturing.

For the cost, I have to strongly reccomend it.
