Baby steps

Ok, have pretty much decided to try Linux out.

What do you guys recomend for a starter?

Would like something with a GUI install, as much like WINDOWS as possible.

Link me up,scotty.

p.s. I have looked around, but without actually installing one of the releases, I can't tell what they are like.

thanks for the help ahead of time.

well for one that you dont have to install anything there's knoppix which goes on a cd and you just reboot and it runs off the cd completely.
