Best All around Photo and Text Scanner?

My girlfriend works as a fashion designer at her new company and she needs to order a scanner to be used for scanning patterns and photos as well as Text. Please recommend a user friendly one since she's not very high in tech. Her price range is between 100-200 dollars.

Epson Perfection series scanners are always at the top of comparison reviews. Just buy the best model that fits in your budget. As for myself, I bought a Visioneer OneTouch 6600 USB scanner when it was on special for about $25. after rebate(s) - I'm too cheap to buy an Epson. And I'm already paying for my cheapness - the case of the scanner offgasses a lot of plasticizer which has to be cleaned off the bottom of the glass, so I have to disassemble the scanner to clean it before each session. But it does nice scans when it's clean...
