Not necessarily. Sometimes having matching manufacturers components will speed things up slightly, but I don't think it would be enough of a difference to warrant you spending the extra money for a Linksys modem.

Well what do you mean by speed up? What speeds are you getting right now? You can check at www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest if you want.

Your connection speeds are excellent. You don't need to change a thing.

Click here if you want to find out how to speed up your cable connection...I'm assuming your max download bandwidth is 3mbps, right? Your speeds are just fine IMO.

Hey, was wondering if there is a difference from using onboard LAN and or a pci ethernet card?

Is there a performance difference also?

Using a K7N2 Delta series nForce chipset 400 edition MOBO with onboard LAN and Audio

don't use either..use a pci ethernet card and soundblaster live pci card...

sweeper2 -
There is no performance difference between using a PCI card or using the onboard LAN. I use the onboard on my NF7-S and it works perfectley. I'm not sure of the audio quality difference between your onbaord and the SB Live.
