powerDVD error

ok i get this error when i try to watch any and every DVD on my comp now
i used to watch them all the time but not it work when i tried a couple months ago, and it still doesn't work now
im not shure why, powerDVD is supposed to be very reliable.

it says:
Error Code: FFFFFFFF
Internal error
The error code is undefined.

Contact powerdvd@gocyberlink.com. Please tell us how this internal error occurred in a detailed manner.

i contacted those guys months ago, and have not goten a reply back.

my system specs are:
2.0ghz processor
160gb HD
nvidia FX 5600 256MB video card
256mb ram
can anybody help?

Maybe it doesn't like nVidia chips.

Did you pay for the copy or did it come with your computer when you bought it. I think I remeber e-mailing em once and if you didnt provide the info of your copy like a Key or something they ignored you. Anyways... have you tried re-installing it? The one time that I ever got a crazy error a resintall fixed it.

Try vlc instead -> www.videolan.org

If that works, there's something wrong with your powerdvd installation.

Hi,
Don't know if you ever fixed this problem, but I've just had the same thing start happening to me,

After trawling the web I think I've found the answer. It seems to be a problem with the FX5600 chipset, in that the video acceleration is not compatible with older versions of PowerDVD.
