Is my Palm [m100] toast?
Ahhh, I new I shouldn't let the little man touch it, but my 12yo nephew wanted to check it out. In my two minute abscence, the palm came back to me with the screen no longer working right. I have to still try a hard reset [after a synch] to see if that helps, but it's really a shot in the dark.
Just got the darn thing like a month ago, but at least it was a killer price [thanks TIMO trader forum].
Here's what it does: when touching the screen, it registers somewhere else on the screen. But it's not consistent, like a miscalibration. In fact, when going into the calibration screen, I have to reset to get it out of the calibration program because it will not hit anywhere near where I touch. Some spots on the screen it hits higher, some lower, some left, some right. I'm wondering if the little terd decided to squish the screen with his thumb, because I would guess that by the symptoms he somehow applied far too much pressure to the screen, likely in the middle due to the orientation of the effects.
Anybody got any tips for a resultion of the situation (other than giving the nephew a broken palm for xmas!).
