It all really boils down to if you're planning on overclocking it. If so, go with the Abit. It's known as the best overclocking nForce2 board out there. They are both excellent boards.

The NF7-S is your best bet. It's fast ,stable, and the onboard Soundstorm audio is awsome. It's the one I have.

NF7 - No Dolby Digital 5.1 Soundstorm surround sound.

NF7-M - No Soundstorm but it has GeForce4 MX onboard video.

Here's a comparison chart from Abit.

NF7-S is very nice. got my 2600+ barton at 11x200=3200+ and my system is nice and stable and cpu temp is ~27C (idle). didn't need any voltage changes.

if you haven't gotten the mobo yet monarchcomputer.com has the best price on it i've seen (or did anyway) and that where i got mine.

You can't go wrong with the A7N8X-E DX either. It has onboard SATA.

Don't leave out the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra. Prolly the best bang for buck mobo there is.

Yeah, I have an NF7-S and it OC's very nicely, had my Barton up to 2.3ghz and ran nice. But I also head good things about the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra<-----I think its $75!!! Then again the NF7-S is $99.99 and worth the extra $25.
