deleting wireless connection

In trying to fix wireless connection in XP, I now have 8 connections, how do I delete them. only #8 shows up

go to networking and delete them, just be sure that there really is 8 and not just a number 8, in that case just rename it, xp does number them as you make them, does not mean that there is that many.
it also does that on other devices too

Thanks, Bailey , renamed my connection, was only getting 80k on my cable connection, was trying everything to get it back up to speed, ended up resetting my router and was back up to 1.7mb
