Systems SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
i got a geforce4 mx440-8x agp 64mb ddr video card and a ecs elitegroup board (k7vta3) with a 4x agp slot. im having a hell of a time trying to get this to work properly. i have a 21" monitor and the display settings are cranked way up. drivers are installed fine, but when i installed directX9.0b, and ran dxdiag, tested the direct draw and it didn't work. i installed three different games requiring this and they all fail to load, i get a black screen, several flickers (as if resizing) and the games fail to load. ive reinstalled everything on my pc 3 times. formatted disk, reloaded winME, drivers, etc... but still no luck. any help is gladly appreciated

Try not installing DX9. Try DX8 and see if it works

Someone Please Help Me
im not using windows xp, and i never got the card to work correctly with the motherboard, the display is fine, but i cant get any gaming done. all is fine in the IE or netscape world, and some basic non 3d games.

ok, i ran the unistall dx thing, now i inserted the drivers & utilities disk that came with the card, and it has dx9.0 on it? that means it should have no problems with it right?

where can i find dx 8.0?

I would like to clear for you...

DirectX 8.0 or 8.1a...is only for Win 98. DirectX 9.0 is specially and compatible for Win XP.
