still having trouble with screen resolution

I wrote to this group a little while back (2-3 weeks) about a problem with my screen resolution. I'm still having the problem, only now it seems to have worsened. Before, I would have to reset the resolution each and every time the computer was turned on or restarted. Lately, once it is reset, it goes back to low, by itself, and turns the monitor off while doing so. I have replaced the monitor, and replaced the video card, and still no help. While writing this short post, it has turned the monitor off 3 times so far. The computer recognizes the monitor. To refresh anyone's memory this is Windows XP Professional. Thanks for any help.

Screen resolution?

I have learned some possible cases.

*If your monitor cant turn ON, then get urself a new one.
*If your monitor has something wrong with one or 2 or 3 RGB (red green blue) color, then get a new connector cable on ur monitor.
*If your monitor has something wrong with the display, for example;theres a line in the middle, display got wavy or shortened, then there is something wrong with the vertical and herizontal driver.
*If your monitor has something wrong with the display configuration, try adjust the flyback. Normally it has 2 holes. Adjust it with a screw driver, till u got it correctly.

Safety precaution: Do not open your monitor while it is ON or you will be electricuted 15k of direct current, which means you cant pull back urself and...umm..just dont do it
