AGP as initial display means the pci cards don't boot up?
I just picked up an all-in-wonder 9800 pro card, and it says i MUST set it to the default card in the bios. But when i do this my pci video cards do not boot up and im left with a single 14 inch ******** monitor. Do all boards only boot up the AGP cards when this setting is placed? The other cards boot up normally when PCI(default) is the initial display device instead of the AGP, but then none of the all in wonder luxuries initialize such as the tv tuner. it says "tv tuner failed to initialize because the correct ATI hardware is not present". The dual monitor feature is not on the 9800 itself so the PCI cards are a must for this.
So basically im asking, do all boards only boot up the AGP when AGP is set to the intial display?
Obsceneties are a no no. Please read our rules about proper forum etiquette.
Which version of Windows are you using? The PCI cards will start up with Windows after you've configured them. Sounds like there are some driver issues. You might try uninstalling the PCI card you're using, then reinstalling the ATi drivers, and then reinstalling the PCI card.
win xp pro
all the newest hardware drivers
updated board bios
service pack 1
formatting and installing everything from scratch
nothing has workd
the cards simply dont startup when AGP is initial display
