can i safely??

can i safely overclock the barton 2500+
to 190(380) fsb ???
with stock heatsink
i changed the fsb to 190
and my temp is around 40C
is that good or should i definetly buy a better heatsink??
my memory is kingston 512 DDR133 PC-2700

I'm supprised your ram is letting you go that high, since your ram is running at 333mhz and your fsb is running at 380mhz. Somebody else know if I am correct?

Depends on his board. Some let you just up the CPU I think, and run the system asynchronus. If you're only at 40C at 190, you're fine. Make sure you watch for system instability though.

my MB is Asus a7n8x
yea, the temp is at around 40C
the system runs fine... so far..
but i dont know what my mem temp is.. or is that important??
can the mem get messed up or burn down???

The memory can get overheated, but most likely you will notice corrpution. Try using Prime95, I don't know the exact link, but it will test your ram and if any errors occur, lower your FSB.
