nforce3 or via better linux chipset?

Im building a computer with an Athlon 64 and im trying to figure out which would be a better motherboard to use in linux. Ive been able to find alot more reviews of boards using the via chipset than nforce3, but I know nvidia has linux drivers while im not sure how well via supports linux.
Any suggestions on chipsets and brands would be appreciated.
Also any reasons or links as to why.
Thanks

Mead

The Linux community is currently struggling against an unidentified reliability problem with NF3, and driver support for the integrated stuff isn't quite there yet either. It's a new chipset.

VIA in return are using existing building blocks in their A64 chipset - everything from the AGP bridge function down to the I/O in the southbridge is well known from P4 and K7 chipsets, and well supported in Linux.

Guess that means either wait for Nf3 drivers or go Via. I will say it took al of two months for Nforce2 to have full driver support in Linux though You might wanna hold off if you dont like via. Their last brain fart was having a agp driver bug that rejected all 9600's. I dont like that kinda sloppy driver coding. But same can be said about Nforce chipsets too. Just not that sever is all. ITs a hard choice. THats why I usually wait about 1 year or so to buy a new format. Let the dust settle and bugs work out. Who knows the new via might wipe the floor with Nf3 once the drivers are good.
