How do I clear the event log?

I have no interest as to what happened to my computer back in June.

How do I clear the event log and start over from scratch?

W2K pro.

Bill

Bill...
I've read many of your posts, and generally find them to be very informed and well thought out. You are someone who seems to know his stuff.
I apologize in advance... but did you mean this post as a joke? I truly mean no offense, but I figure the ability to clear an event log would be (almost) intuitive for someone with your experience.
Pax.

jmichna,

Thanks for your comments. Very appreciated.

Sometimes I get afraid to do something I believe to be the correct thing to do because I fear I may kill the computer.

I look here for affirmation because of the trust I have in the members here.

My 13 year old keeps telling me to throw caution to the wind and just click OK.

Maybe I should take his advice.

Just trying to confirm what in my heart I know is correct but just want to be sure.

Bill

Edit: Plus I never have looked at the event log until I tried to investigate a problem someone was having the other day. Never been there. I learn something new everyday.

rofl

yeah I get that msg popping up every month or so. feel free to hit "delete"

my event log would fill up because I didn't have my ethernet card properly installed, and since i couldn't use it to connect to get current drivers, I had to wait till I got drivers on cd. problem solved now.
