changing comps with roadrunner

ok my friend is getting a new comp for christmas how does he resetup his roadrunner without having to call tech support or use the disk the send??

XP detected and installed everything properly on my rig. I just powered up and clicked IE.

I really don't like all of the crap that RR wants to load.

yea neither do i he just got it and wanted to install all the RR stuff and i like screamed when i told him not to. LOL i guess i got a little excited

I just swicthed to RR about 7 weeks ago, U don't need their software; however if your installing a new cable modem they do have to set it up. Call in the mac number etc. Out side of that, no software required.

FYI: Tell your friend. If he has any problems that requires RR tech support and he is going to netwok within the house remove the router before calling them unless they set the network up. They will not work with you on any problem until the router is off your system.
