What can I do with 2 network cards?

I have an extra network card just laying around doing nothing and I was thinking I could use it for something.
Is there anything neat or useful I could do by having 2 network cards in 1 computer? One of my computers is used as a file sharing server for sharing files over the internet and I sometimes use it to host temperary game servers. I was thinking there could be some sort of security or usefulness to having 2 network cards but I don't know of anything.

Well, you could turn that computer into a internet router/firewall with two network cards!

IPCop will take over the whole PC, but use the two network cards to keep your internal LAN safe from the nasty world wide wicked.

Depending on what kinda OS you run, you could also do load balancing with 2 NIC's, but it's not really much help for anything except fail-safe stuff IMO.

Might be kinda neat to try it and see if you can get the two NICs sharing a connection. Just for laughs, anyhow.

Cheers
Mick
