old computer won't boot

I got this old computer from a friend a 200mhz intel that won't boot. all that happens is it has 1 long beep a 3 short ones and nothing on the screen. this is no biggie if it cant be fixed but If I can fix it then ya. I cant tell what motherboard it is. it is an older one cause it has got the pci card slots and the other type that is longer than the pci a black card slot.

Sounds like the memory is bad

just to give you an update I took the memory from the pc that wont boot and put it in another pc with just that stick of memory. I got it to boot up and work fine. so maby the motherboard?

Could be the mobo. Can you take the RAM out of the mobo that you put the supposed bad RAM into and see if it gives the same beep code?

could also be a bad video card, you may try to swap a different video card

I'm gonna guess and say it's probably onboard video.
