Computer Problems-But Not My Computer

Ok, this isnt for me, but rather for my girlfriend. She has a Gateway and is running XP Home. Other than that I dont know the specs.

The problem is that this message " Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." pops up randomly when shes on the computer.

If anyone knows what may be the problem her and I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hmm, well I told her I would get her some spyware/adware/anti-virus junk, but she didnt want that. I'm not sure, but I think the computer may have come with Norton, but if not, I'll recommend AVG among other programs.

Thanks JP.

So you both agree this problem is the blaster worm? Because she had an instance of the worm once before on her computer. I mean, the computer still works and I have seen this pop up and its different than the one that comes up when you have the blaster worm.

Thanks guys

Well, something seems to be up.

When it comes to "safe" sex/computing a little protection goes a long way.

Another program you could run is The Cleaner .

Scans for trojans. Free for 30 days.

Saved me a couple of times.
