Help with MGB - Bought in Compgeeks now damaged - no RMA

I bought a Metal Gear Box from CompGeeks. It's something similar if not like this.

I find a problem when transferring a large chunks of files to this enclosure. In the middle of the process, I get a lot of error messages saying that file is corrupted ETC. Compgeeks said that the problem is not within the enclosure even though I told them that the HDD itself was tested fine.

I am tired to argue with them so I decided to go to the manufacturer directly. However, I see in ioCombo that Eumax, which was supposed to be the manufacturer, will only cover warranty if it was bought from their legal channel. Apparently, Compgeeks is not one of their legal channel ...

I am left without means to repair/return this defective stuff. Any idea? I wish I'd gone with iocombo in the first place
