OK folks, let me bring this up: mdm.exe is a Machine Debug Manager, but how good is it to have it installed. If it's uninstalled, what can take its place? While browsing the Internet I ran into info about removing it, but they didn't explain much, except for removal procedure.

what OS? Why do you think you need it?

is it listed in msconfig? If it is, just uncheck it and see how it runs without it.

Ok, that's another question: why doesn't my machine have msconfig? I running Windows 2000 Professional.

I suppose mdm is not running. It doesn't appear in the processes list.

oh, win2k doesnt have msconfig....but there is a better prog for free anyway.... startup control panel no install invlovled, cool prog.

msconfig itself can be taken from another machine etc
