floppy problems

My floppy drive gives me the message "The floppy disk controller reported an error that is not recognized by the floppy
disk driver" everytime I try to use it - I have uninstalled the drivers and the controllers and still get the message. Any thoughts?

Try booting w/ a bootdisk. If you can try copy, move, delete, etc . . . commands on the floppy to see if it's the hardware or an actual driver problem.

Have you checked to see if the contoller enabled in the BIOS?

Don't ask me why but tonite it works. I have done nothing to it because I haven't had time. Amazing what a couple of reboots can do sometimes, I guess.
