I'm not big on networking so here's a question a buddy of mine just asked me hoping I could help........(I told him I'd ask the "specialists")

..........even though we know the smart specialists are all going to Linux anyway.......har har.... he he.......
snip>>>>>>>My boss got a new computer and had me install it on our little network. The network runs a print server, I need to install the printer to the new computer.
The problem is the install disk for the printer is nowhere to be found in the office, (I think it is at the boss's house, as good as lost) Is there a way I can install the printer without the disk? (Windows XP Pro.)<<<<<<<<end snip
I'm guessing that if he runs a typical "add printer" wizard, then XP Pro's gonna find & install the printer??? But maybe I'm not understanding his question correctly?
