Is there any proof/truth to this?
I'm not sure if tis should be here, but it is techological kinda
Is there any proof/truth to this?
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).
YOU can try this yourself: purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things: no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something) ... it does not rot or smell differently...because it has no nutritional value, nothing will grow on it...even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic.
Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

have heard that also.
hehe, I bet your drinking a pepsi while your typing, lol.
Lotsa chemicals floating around today..our food is just another thing in rapid decline in our society...imagine, if you can, how the average diet has changed since, say, 35 years ago....radical fast change. Could it be that changes in diet (microwave foods?) or drinking water have brought on the wave of alzheimers?
(semi related anecdote....I remember this fat chick in high school, she used to come down to senior lounge and get 3 candy bars and a DIET pepsi....Im still trying to figure that 1 out)

Check the links at the end of the movie and see how many good food sources you have nearby!

we dont stop and think often enough though about these things....I walked by the schoolyard in the summer...I was literally SHOCKED when I saw what looked like a 1st or 2nd grade class out playing in the schoolyard.....dude, every other freeking kid was a big ol porker!!! its crazy! what will they be at 35?? scary. Im 36, when I was coming up thru grade school etc there were like 2 or 3 fat kids in the whole school!! can you imagine the medical costs that generation that I saw will face???
We used to get mcdonalds maybe once a week if we cried for it, lol. Folks live on it now.

ps....I just finished losing 40 lbs....maybe 45 lbs now, not sure cuz of different scales.
I did the weight training thing thru the winter and got up to 235 at 5'9"ish. I been a little heavy for maybe 12 years or so....would have been embarrassed to take my shirt off etc...I have a freind who does construction etc..he is naturally muscular..I have outweighed him forever even though he is 2 inches taller than me...I told him earlier in the year that I WOULD weigh less than him, lol. I was peaked out then, like 230-235...he was 185ish, lol.
He happened to drop by today, havent seen him in a good while...he had on work boots etc...on my little bathroom scale he weighed 196 I weighed 189.
Just throwing that in since it fits the thread and maybe to encourage any over 35ers that it is doable. pic of me, not the best for showing overall size though, lol (yes, im that intense, feel free to caption it, lol...they already killed me anyway!)
The best thing about it is that when I smile I have my dimples or whatever you call em...THEY HAVE RETURNED from a long hiatus...lol. (yes I smile sometimes, but not in that pic!). I want to get in the gym and do some boxing...the dude that teaches is 147 lbs...so I think Ill take it to around 175 for next years spring/summer season.
and yes, Ive been eating that meal pictured almost every day for lunch the whole time! lol.

It is do-able..mostly mental...you know, habits etc...and we all wanna be in some great big hurry....but you really have to set your mind to go for the long haul...lose it gradually over time and its not so hard at all. Main point....dont eat heavy at night, lol...hamburgers at bedtime? nah..eat what you want before say, 3pm, then just sorta keep it a little light at night.
