Help! I think this is a Video card prob acan someone help?

12/03/2003 9:45 PM (NEW!)

I had this problem with my 9700 pro and I would just nudge it a bit and it woudl be fine. Now I got a 9800np and its even worse than before. I got it off ebay and wonder if this is a card iissue or powersupply or Mother board issue. Please advise.

I would go to www.omegacorner.com and download his ATI 3.9 modded drivers. ATI even said they are the best modded drivers out. So I would give them a try and see if that helps.

This is not a driver issue. I have tryed 3.7's 3.8's and 3.9's. I think I got a crap 9800 video card. I just didn't know if anyone had this problem before.

Where did you get your 9700 Pro? I've seen lots of video cards being sold on eBay for a low price because they are defective.

i agree with the rest.. a bad card or overclocked card is the cause of that problem. try your video card in other systems and see.

Whoah..........

Is that a screenshot or a picture? Sure looks like a screenshot.

If it is a screenshot its not a hardware problem, I don't think. It should grab it before the card renders it.

Its a screen shot. I took it to the local computer shop and they installe din it a couple different computers. Looks like the card is shot.
I got a hold of the fella I bought it from and he said to give him the serial number and send it back he would do an RMA to ATI and get me a brand new one in a box! Also when I took a look at the back of the card I noticed it said 9800 pro no non pro which makes it even better because the card only cost me $200 bucks on ebay so I am getting an brand new card now for the $200 bucks I bought it for
