i am interested in the koolance exos or integrated watercooling in the case - i forget the model numbers.

anyway, how do you people think it is? is it easier to go for the exos for the biannual flushing of the water rather than the integrated wc system in the case?

I think the Corsair unit is way better

The Corsair doesn't need the biannual flushing
Corsair unit can handle up to 200W of cooling
Corsair unit is external as well -- also uses the same type of hoses as the koolance
Corsair unit will come with the Northbridge and Video card coolers "soon"
Corsair unit has Corsair written all over it -- AKA Xtreme Water Cooling System
Finally, Corsair unit costs way cheaper than the Koolance EXOS because the EXOS doesn't come with the CPU block, the Corsair unit comes with it. Monarchcomputer.com has it the cheapest @ $200

Read my review here on TIMO.

so this corsair unit... how loud is it normally? i want to cut down on noise.

what do you mean no biannual flushing - do you ever replace the water inside?

also, about the additive - what happens when you run out? do you have to buy another corsair additive? can you use nothing? can you use something you find at autozone?

Depending on which unit you purchase, the earlier units like mine, there's a washer by the pump, and if you remove the washer, there is less vibrations and makes less noise (if you leave the washer, more noise). I have headphones on and it's not as "noisy" but it's pretty noisy w/o them. It's OK if you're not on turbo. However, it's noisy because I have it on top of my desk. But if you have it under the table, I'm sure it'd sound "quiter".

By the bi-annual flushing, it's not necessary to wash it out every 6 months. It is recommended to wash it out every year.

The additve is Propylene Glycol so any type of antifreeze of that materials would work.

As a matter of fact (from me gleaning information from other users in a forum like this), mixing the CPU block with a Koolance does not cool as well. Also, the Swiftech kit (as reference) the one that uses the blue radiator can only whisk away 100W of heat.

Edit: Added info I forgot.
